How we identify affiliate links
Every affiliate link on this site is tagged with the HTML attribute rel="sponsored nofollow", per Google's 2020 link-attribute guidance. Links to our own pages and to other sites we are not paid to recommend do not carry these attributes.
Where space permits we also call out affiliate links explicitly with labels like "Partner" or "Buy on Amazon". Comparison guides include a top-of-page disclosure box reminding readers which links earn us a commission.
Editorial independence
We do not accept payment to recommend products. We do not write paid reviews. We have turned down "sponsored content" offers from several brands whose products we tested and decided not to recommend. The affiliate income we earn comes from products we would recommend regardless of whether the affiliate program existed.
If you ever spot a recommendation that smells off, please let us know via the contact form.
